Text: Ten line inscription. The inscription is located on the tympanon of the north entrance of the monastery’s refectory. The first eight lines are carved in the frame created by the lowered background of the plaque, the last two lines are outside the borders of the frame from the below. w 43 x h 47 cm w 98 x h 16 cm

Letters: Engraved Asomtavruli inscription. The inscription has arrow-shaped edges and it is done on a wine color plaque. 3-7-10

Translation

In the name of God and aid of John the Baptist Beshken the Eristavt-eristavi and I, Ephrem prayer for Murvan, built this refectory.
